I had the pleasure of meeting Juliette Calliau earlier this month when I telephoned her requiring urgent care for my two cats, Miew-Miew and Pung Tao (Baby). I was leaving the following day for the weekend and thankfully Juliette was able to come to my home and care for my ‘boys’. I am a very cautious person, so it’s challenging for me to find people I can trust enough to enter my home and care my kitties so the idea of having a ‘stranger’ help me did come with some anxiety.
Within a few moments of meeting Juliette I knew that she is a caring person who loves animals. She spent time greeting the‘boys’ and then we walked through the house so that she could see the layout. It was apparent to me immediately that Juliette and WhisPurring Tails is a professionally run business. Formal documents were in order and presented to me on the spot and we spent about an hour reviewing details such as contact information for my veterinarian, where the fire extinguisher is, the electrical box... She asked questions that made me aware that she understands the nature of cats. She asked where their favorite hiding spots are, about special feeding rituals, snacks, toys. I felt a sigh of relief that I could leave my kitties in her care. I had never used a pet sitting service before, and very much appreciate that Juliette also texts me with a photo of both kitties during each visit. This made me feel even more secure about leaving, and more relaxed during my weekend away. Even Juliette’s texts showed that she was getting to know my cats’ personalities, making sure to give Baby his ‘birdie’ or ‘mousy’ and Miew-Miew some extra cuddle time. And when I returned home the boys looked so relaxed!!
Soon, I’ll be going away for 10 days and where every other time, I’ve had to rely on someone, like a neighbor whom I really don’t know, just popping in to put food and water in bowls and leave, now I will call Juliette instead! It’s not enough for me to know my cats have the basics when I’m away, because cats, dogs, pets, do get lonely. I know that Juliette will also make sure my kitties feel emotionally good as well. I ‘m very grateful to have found her card at the local pet store and that I called her rather than cancelling a much needed break. I will continue to use Juliette and WhisPurring Tails services and I highly recommend her.

We had Juliette come to our home to care for our cat and fish twice now and I will certainly make her my number one call again and again whenever we have to go out of town in the future, as she is an absolutely wonderful; kind, caring and trustworthy person. Our first meeting was for a visit before we went away to see if our cat would be comfortable around her and needless to say he was "purrfectly" fine and content and while he did his typical cat stuff she and I discussed his needs, etc, etc, and she took down all necessary details and then some, she is very thorough and organized which I found terrific and comforting. After going through everything we ended up chatting at my kitchen table for a couple hours about anything and everything as she is truly a great person and very easy to get along with. I truly felt very comfortable leaving her to care for our cat and our fish and our home as well while we were out of town in October, 2020 and then again when we had an emergency and had to quickly call her and go again in December. It is wonderful as well to have updates after her visits and photos of the "babies" that are back at home.
